Modern Slavery Statement

Modern Slavery Statement for Man with Van De Beauvoir Town

This Modern Slavery Statement sets out the steps taken by Man with Van De Beauvoir Town to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our operations and supply chains. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all business dealings and to implementing effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in our business.

Our Business and Supply Chain

Man with Van De Beauvoir Town provides local and regional transport, moving and related services. Our activities include domestic and commercial moves, storage arrangements through partners, vehicle hire arrangements, purchase and maintenance of vehicles and equipment, and use of agency and subcontractor labour when required.

We recognise that elements of our supply chain, including vehicle procurement and maintenance, fuel supply, equipment sourcing and occasional use of temporary labour, can present risks related to modern slavery. We are committed to identifying and reducing these risks through proportionate and practical measures.

Zero-Tolerance Policy on Modern Slavery

We maintain a clear zero-tolerance stance on all forms of modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour and child labour. This applies to our own operations, to all individuals working for or on behalf of our business, and to every supplier and subcontractor engaged by us.

We expect all those with whom we do business to share this commitment. Any evidence or serious suspicion of modern slavery in our operations or supply chains will lead to immediate investigation, appropriate remedial action, and, where necessary, termination of relationships and reporting to relevant authorities.

Supplier Standards and Due Diligence

We seek to work only with suppliers, contractors and business partners who uphold lawful and ethical labour practices. As part of our supplier onboarding and review process, we assess the risk of modern slavery based on sector, geography, type of service and known industry issues.

Our expectations regarding fair treatment of workers, lawful employment conditions and prohibition of forced and child labour are communicated to key suppliers. Where relevant, we may request confirmation of their own modern slavery measures or policies as part of our assessment.

Supplier Audits and Monitoring

We review higher risk suppliers and subcontractors through proportionate checks, which may include requesting written confirmations on labour practices, reviewing available public information, and conducting targeted supplier audits where concerns or elevated risks are identified.

During audits or reviews, we may request evidence related to worker age verification processes, working hours and pay records, recruitment practices, use of labour agencies, and grievance mechanisms for workers. If non-compliance or significant risk is identified, we will work with the supplier on corrective actions or, if necessary, end the relationship.

Reporting Concerns and Whistleblowing

We encourage all workers, suppliers, subcontractors and other stakeholders to report any concerns or suspicions of modern slavery connected to our business or supply chains. Reports can be made to a manager or senior representative of Man with Van De Beauvoir Town or through any internal reporting channels communicated to workers and contractors.

All concerns raised will be treated seriously and, where appropriate, confidentially. We will not tolerate any form of retaliation or disadvantage against any person who raises a concern in good faith. We will investigate reported issues promptly and take appropriate action to address findings.

Training and Awareness

We work to raise awareness of modern slavery risks among our management and relevant staff, particularly those involved in procurement, supplier management and supervision of subcontracted labour. This may include guidance on recognising signs of exploitation and the steps to take if concerns arise.

We aim to foster a culture where ethical conduct is expected and concerns about labour exploitation can be raised without fear.

Governance and Annual Review

Responsibility for overseeing our approach to modern slavery lies with senior management at Man with Van De Beauvoir Town. They are responsible for ensuring that appropriate policies, procedures and controls are maintained, implemented and reviewed.

This Modern Slavery Statement will be reviewed each year to reflect any changes in our business model, supply chains, legal requirements or best practice guidance. Where necessary, we will update our processes, supplier engagement and training to strengthen our response to modern slavery risks.

By continuing to develop our controls, engaging with our suppliers and encouraging open reporting, Man with Van De Beauvoir Town is committed to playing its part in the prevention of modern slavery and human trafficking.
